Tatara

Species: Ghoul Affiliations: Aogiri Tree A direct subordinate of the One-Eyed King and one of Aogiri Tree's leaders who also seems to be from China. He is related to the Chinese ghoul organization Chi She Lian. As one of the Aogiri Tree leaders and a trusted subordinate working under the One-Eyed King, Tatara comes off as a rather loyal individual. He is portrayed as composed and stoic mostly. He often monitors the activities of the Aogiri executives, but kills in cold-blood when embarking on a mission. He is also proud of his immense stamina when fighting and the accuracy of his calculations as well. Tatara seems to have a taste for precision; as shown when he turns down Kaneki considering he's an artificial one-eyed ghoul. He appears to hold a grudge against Houji, to the extent that even the Quinque associated with him, is enough to make him enraged and lose his near unflappable composure. Shuu Tsukiyama

He is a fourth-year student studying Social Welfare at the Department of Human Sciences at Haruna Gakuin University. An eccentric man with opulent taste, his act as a gentleman and an intellectual, serves as a facade to hide a disturbed and narcissistic nature. As a ghoul, he displays his arrogance as a strong predator that seeks to devour the finest meals he makes of his 'prey,' so as to proclaim himself the top carnivore of the food chain. His interest in European literature and language is shown in his gestures and mannerisms, often peppering his dialog with borrowed English, French, and Italian. He shows great anger towards others who disrespect his taste in food; shattering a teacup in front of Kaneki during their date at the coffee shop when he remembered his encounter with Rize. Rize, while working at his Gourmet Club, believed that his picky eating habits made him seem more like a human than a ghoul, the worst sort of insult he could have received, and therefore Shuu bears grudges over Rize, calling her a 'pig' for ridiculing his taste for food. Koutarou Amon

Species: Human Age: 26 Birthday: April 7 Height: 191 cm Weight: 94 kg Blood type: A Quinque: Kura Likes: Sweet food, Training and Investigation Dislikes: Spicy food A first class police investigator who investigates Ghouls, also known as a Dove. He comes to the 20th ward with his mentor, Mado Kureo, to investigate Ghoul incidents in the area. He has a strong sense of justice, fervently believing it is the right and moral thing to do to exterminate the Ghouls. He hunts the Ghouls in order to prevent more human children from becoming orphaned like himself, and he often works after hours to achieve his goals. Due to a personal experience as an orphan during his childhood, Amon has come to the conclusion that this world is wrong, so he has made it his task to change the world. Because he thinks it's the ghouls that are twisting the world, he views the eradication of all ghouls as a way to mend this world. After being spared by Ken Kaneki, Amon has started to question the righteousness of his crusade. He has a certain interest in the two ghouls Rabbit and Eyepatch. Ken Kaneki

Cunning and manipulative, Rize uses her charms and Kaneki's attraction toward her as a means of getting her next "meal." After the attack, Kaneki is rushed to the hospital in a half-dead state with Rize. A doctor of the name Kanou, who secretly experiments with ghouls, humans, and half-ghouls, transplants what Kaneki believes to be a kidney into his body as a means of saving his life in the dire situation. Soon he learns that he had part of Rize's kagune transplanted into him, becoming the first of many human-ghoul experiments Kanou will conduct. Due to the unnatural abundance of RC Cells now present in his body because of Rize's kagune, Kaneki loses the ability to stomach human food, often getting sick or vomiting when ingesting any, and gains the powers of regeneration and kagune usage as a result. Because of his morals and attachment to humanity, Kaneki refuses to consume human beings as a means to sustain himself, even when the meat is obtained through non-violent means, rather he consumes large amounts of coffee, and, when absolutely necessary, will cannibalize other ghouls. Later, he joins with several ghouls, Banjou and Tsukiyama Shuu, in order to reduce the number of ghouls that cause havoc in the world to make the lives of humans better. Due to the nature of his ghoul mask and physical features, Kaneki earns himself the name "One-Eye" among the ghoul-community, and eventually "Centipede" when his kagune takes the form of one after he is put under immense stress, pressure, and anxiety. Ayato Kirishima

He grew up with his sister in the 20th ward but at some point in time, he left the district. According to Kazuichi Banjou, Ayato subsequently began to wander all the wards of Tokyo, bringing sheer wreckage and chaos upon them, until his unique powers and abilities caught Tatara’s eye. Ayato was therefore pulled into joining Aogiri Tree, where he is currently an Executive. Ayato is an arrogant, brash teenager, with a similar hot-blooded attitude resembling his sister's, while he normally displays either a scowl or menacing smirk on his face. Other than his physicalities, he shares many similarities with Touka, such as his tendency to use language that is often uncouth or inappropriate. He has a habit for kicking people over the simplest mistakes; such as when Kaneki failed to address him with the desired honorific, or when Banjou didn’t return his missed calls. However, he seems to be more harsh compared to his sister, but admits himself to be surprisingly "softer" than his Aogiri superiors. He is a firm believer in the notion that ‘the weak perish and the strong survive,’ which was triggered by the death of his mother and father. Ayato bears deep grudges against his father, Arata, for abandoning him and Touka when they were young. Ayato has even stated that the whole reason for hating Kaneki was his resemblance to Arata. It was also pointed out by Kaneki that Ayato cares deeply for Touka subconsciously, as shown when he beat her down first rather than allowing her to suffer a slow, torturous death from Yamori. Hinami Fueguchi

Species: Ghoul Age: 13–14 (Tokyo Ghoul), 16–17 (Tokyo Ghoul:re) Birthday: May 21 Height: 148 cm Weight: 40 kg Feet: 22 cm Blood type: AB RC type: Rinkaku and Koukaku Hinami is a child ghoul whose both parents were killed by ghoul investigators.The CCG currently holds insufficient information about Hinami, and therefore has not succeeded in eliminating her. Before, she and her mother sought help from the owner of the Antique Cafe to acquire food. Hinami is a shy, childish girl with a very gentle heart. She is also eager for knowledge and fond of reading in order to learn. She cares deeply for Touka and Kaneki, constantly expressing sadness and worry for the two's unhappiness. Even as a young child, Hinami is stronger than ordinary ghouls. Typically, ghouls only inherit the Kagune from one parent, but Hinami inherited both the Koukaku Kagune from her mother and the Rinkaku Kagune from her father. With the Koukaku on her shoulder blades and the Rinkaku emerging from the waist, she has surpassed her parents to be strong enough to fend for herself. She has a great sense of smell that can detect enemies even in heavy rain. She could tell that there is something off with Kaneki's smell, while average ghouls might consider him a normal ghoul at first. Her sense of hearing is also great, being able to overhear inside a building that it makes sounds hard to get out. Currently, she is living together with Touka Kirishima. Seidou Takizawa

Takizawa is a Rank 2 Ghoul Investigator. He is the current partner of Kousuke Houji. Currently, he is assigned to the 20th ward and responsible for the investigation of the Gourmet. Birthdate: January 24 Height: 177 cm Weight: 47 kg Blood type: A A senior first class investigator, or a "Dove," who hunts Ghouls. He is Amon's mentor and partner. He hunts Ghouls with a maniacal glee, and believes that all Ghouls are lesser than humans, calling them "trash," and mocking them for trying to "imitate" human behavior. Mado is a fanatic about collecting Ghoul's "Kagune" (their extra limbs) and making them into "Quinque," or weapons that Doves use to kill Ghouls.

Hideyoshi Nagachika

Hide is incredibly observant and can figure things out about people in a almost sherlock-like manner. Nishiki Nishio

His investigative skills and prowess in combat has led many investigators such as Koutarou Amon to admire him. Hobby: collecting torture devices, searching for tough prey. A white-haired brute with sharp lizard eyes and is an executive of Aogiri Tree. Yamori is a ghoul who is as scary as he looks. Normally in a entirely white suit and black dress shirt, he resembles a typical gangster. Yamori developed a sadistic personality that mirrors his interrogator as a means of escaping the reality of his torture when Yamori was a lot slimmer and less bulky before his torture, hinting that his current body frame was built after he become "Jason". This reflects on Kaneki's own physical changes after the torture at Yamori´s hands. He's also a manipulative and deceitful ghoul who would be violent in order to get what he desires. Due to his brutality, he has also become known as 13th ward's Jason. Yamori is a powerful ghoul. He has great physical strength and speed. To some extent, this is a result of him cannibalizing other ghouls. In the 13th ward, there is almost no one that dares to defy him. His nickname Jason is a reference to Jason Voorhees, a character of the Friday the 13th movies. Juuzou Suzuya

In the past, he went by the name Rei Suzuya. He is the partner of Yukinori Shinohara. He is a young man with an androgynous appearance. He bears stitches on his lips and other places, used as both first-aid and fashion. His hair is pinned with a stitching string in a Roman numeral 13 pattern, and has large pupils that leave an eerie and frightening impression. Juuzou has a childish, careless behaviour, does not care for the property of others, is enthusiastic, and often very resourceful in his job. He seems to have no qualms in killing ghouls. After the two-year time skip of Tokyo Ghoul:re, Suzuya's hair is dyed black, and he is the leader of his own squad. He demonstrates maturity and even appears to empathize with ghouls unlike before. Renji Yomo

Species: Ghoul Birthday: July 9 Height: 182 cm Weight: 72 kg Blood type: A RC type: Ukaku Affiliations: Anteiku Renji Yomo is the right hand of Yoshimura. He is an old friend of Uta and Itori. Because of his scavenging habits and long-beaked, avian mask, he has the nickname of "Raven." Quiet, and reserved; Yomo was originally a hot-blooded ghoul who would retaliate violently, especially against Uta back in their juvenile days in the 4th ward. Before working at Anteiku, Yomo was a very vengeful person. He harbored immense hatred towards Kishou Arima for killing his sister. This hate caused him to lose his composure when he was up against Arima and attack in a blind fury. After his meeting with Yoshimura, he became more composed and loyal to the manager while he works on the behind-the-scenes jobs unquestionably. Although he displays a cold demeanor, Yomo does care about his friends and coworkers. When caring for Loser, he is overprotective and curiously invested, even trying to teach it new words and calling him "Shooting Star Wing" based on his appearance. Touka Kirishima

Touka is a ghoul successfully posing as a human and working as a waitress at a cafe which serves as a gathering place for other ghouls, as well as a food resource. She saves Kaneki's life at one point and acts as a reluctant guide to him and his adaptation to the ghoul society. She is very serious, tough and hard-working, trying to keep their district as safe for ghouls and humans as possible. Her powers and strength are also quite great and she makes for a formidable opponent.
